Site survey: open the live board before we write a price
Floor area does not say which feeder may be isolated, how many minutes the batteries still hold, or whether the DDC bus has spare. We walk the plant, read the shift log, photograph the boards — then propose a solution.
On site
- Open live MSB / DB / ATS / DDC boards — labels, cable size, spare modules.
- Check drawings against the real wiring. No as-built: draft one at the panel.
- Read the shift log: repeat faults, permitted isolation hours, circuits that must stay live.
- HVAC and ELV: plant status, sensors still alive, remaining PoE and conduit.
Deliverable: site note, board photos, work list before the quote. Occupied sites without as-built: about seven working days after the survey — survey, not finished install.
